Ourfocus is to achieve Ohio Minority Economy Equity by growing MBE revenue 10%year-on-year.Position SummaryThe Grant Writer will identify, define, and develop funding sources tosupport existing and planned program activities as well as lead thedevelopment, writing, and submission of grant proposals to federal, state,and private funding agencies in a timely manner.Primary responsibilities include preparation of proposals and grantapplications, and performance of responsible professional andadministrative work in researching, identifying, developing, and respondingto public and private grant opportunities in areas that support OMSDCprograms.This position reports to the Programs and Events Manager.Job Duties· Research applicable grants· Identify key connections to speak with· Register for application site if needed· Write a Letter of Inquiry if needed· Create a 1st draft· Create a final draft· Submit applicationQualifications· Bachelor’s degree preferred.· Grant writing experience required, preferably with a focus on racialeconomic equity or social justice.· Experience which should demonstrate a proven track record of securingnew funding opportunities.· Comprehensive knowledge of research, and the ability to distinguishand identify opportunities for funding.· Excellent written and verbal communication.· Be highly organized with the ability to implement and followdeadlines, systems, and processes.· Excellent Computer skills (Microsoft Office Word, Access, PowerPoint,and Excel), and database management skills.· Motivated self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively andindependently with purpose and accuracy.Key Accountabilities· Quality, well-written proposals with an average of 50% funding rateover the year.· Timely updates and proposal submissions that allow for a reviewperiod.· A well-rounded understanding of the OMSDC and its mission (can bedeveloped).Scheduling Requirements· Flexible schedule – must be available 25% of the time duringstandard business hours.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $1,500.00 per monthSchedule:Choose your own hoursMonday to FridaySupplemental pay types:Commission payEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Grant writing: 3 years (Preferred)Work Location: RemoteTagged as: remote, remote job, virtual, Virtual Job,virtual position, Work at Home, work from home
