Erp System Implementation Suitable For University Thesis (Remote)

WHERE: Reach for Change in Stockholm, Sweden, hybrid remote.

COMMITMENT: Full-time/Part time 3-6 months or upon agreement

Reach for Change is a global non-profit foundation founded in Sweden. Our vision is a world where all children and youth reach their full potential. We are working towards this vision by finding local social entrepreneurs and empowering them to develop and scale innovative solutions that improve the lives of children and youth. We were co-founded by successful entrepreneurs in the non-profit and business sectors in 2010, and since then we have supported more than 2,000 direct beneficiaries in 18 countries across three continents. We run development programs for social entrepreneurs that are tailored to their specific developmental stage. The case

Reach for Change needs a new ERP system, apt for the complex environment that we as a non-profit matrix organisation is working within. That includes multiple countries, currencies, but also different reporting requirements and other systems integrated into the ERP system. The project will span from gathering requirements, procurement processes, implementation, and setup as well as research, documentation and project management.

During your thesis period

You will be working directly with the Head of Finance & Operations, as well as internal and external stakeholders as well as suppliers. You will have the opportunity to get practical knowledge on project management, accounting, controlling, reporting, and implementation both in theory and in practice – always in collaboration with us. A typical working day is between 9 and 17, but working hours are flexible and the work can be done partially remotely. Minimum every other week you will have a check-in with the Head of Finance & Operations, where progress will be followed up on.

Who you are

A student: We expect you to be studying accounting, finance or business at university level, and connected to a faculty where the thesis is part of your education. The work is unpaid and therefore it is important to us that you are receiving funds from a third party, e.g. the university, CSN, Erasmus, or similar.

Passionate: Have a strong passion when it comes to the end goal of improving the world for children and youth, as well as being interested in working in a remote and international, pragmatic, business-savvy and result-driven team.

Brave: As a person, you are brave, thorough, strategic, and have strong research skills. You don’t hesitate to take initiative, are proactive, and enjoy having varied tasks. You don’t hesitate to ask questions, learn, are curious, and would rather fail than do nothing.

Smart: You care about the quality of your work and you have an entrepreneurial problem-solving go-getter mindset.

Competencies and skills we are looking for: Good proficiency in Swedish and English are required, since we communicate in both languages. Experience with IT systems or at least an interest in technology is preferable.
