What we are looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Cloud Security Engineer to join our Transition Management division responsible for working directly with customers in a project setting to deploy and integrate Microsoft security products and technologies with Trustwave MSS services. Customers will predominantly be North American based calling for the applicant to be comfortable with servicing those business hours

What a Transition Engineer is responsible for:

  • Facilitate client workshops to learn and uncover client requirements and goals, leading to the design and planning of the implementation project.
  • Build, configure, deploy and integrate security technology and services supported by Trustwave
  • Implementing security technologies that enable delivery of managed security services into a variety of simple to complex network environments.
  • Handling all aspects of the Integration process for Implementation Services including: design review, data gathering, equipment and system staging, configuration, installation, troubleshooting and activation of services.
  • Be a driving force in the evolution of best practice design and implementation.
  • Thrive working in a project team setting along side a project manager and other technical delivery resources, working together a cohesive unit to output maximum customer value.
  • Work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment on multiple concurrent customer projects within a delivery squad model.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with relevant Microsoft, keeping upto date with product and feature changes within those Cloud security technologies.
  • Champion for customer satisfaction and overall project success.

Skills and requirements that would make you a good fit:

  • Be able to assess clients existing security controls and configuration, making recommendations and remediating issues.
  • Excellent logical, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Applying those skills to solve complex customer challenges
  • Strong oral (phone) and written (email) communication skills. Be able to explain matters effectively and can articulate technical solutions to a non-technical audience
  • Be able to implement according to Trustwave standards with a keen eye and attention to detail

Essential technical experience:

  • Demonstrated experience working with the following Microsoft Security products (the more you have, the more you will be viewed favorably)
  • Azure Sentinel
  • Defender Suite (for Endpoints/Cloud/Identity/Office 365)
  • Cloud App Security
  • AD Identity Protection
  • Azure DDoS Protection
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Cyber Security technology administration or consulting roles, preferably with a focus on cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud security frameworks and best practices (e.g. NIST)
  • Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) tools.
  • A sound understanding of any other Cloud technologies & products (AWS, Azure, HyperV, VMware) would be a plus
  • Sound knowledge of:
  • Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Perl, Bash etc.
  • TCP/IP Networking Configuration & Troubleshooting
  • Rest API Technologies (CURL, Json)

Nice to have:

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (E.g. AZ-500, AZ-900, MS-100, etc.)
  • ITILv4 Foundation
  • Any other certifications (e.g. CISSP, CEH, etc.) would be beneficial

Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college or university degree is a plus.
