Chief Java Microservices Developer (Remote)

The ideal candidate will create and implement scalable microservices aimed at enhancing order management systems through state-of-the-art cloud technologies and comprehensive database management.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute scalable microservices in Java 8
• Build robust e-commerce order fulfillment systems
• Enhance the performance of PostgreSQL databases for high-volume processing
• Employ effective caching strategies utilizing Redis
• Construct event-driven systems with Apache Kafka for updates on order statuses
• Develop cloud-native solutions with Microsoft Azure services
• Refine the microservices architecture to align with system demands
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to uphold quality and functionality
• Advance the capabilities of the RESTful API
• Engage in code reviews and uphold code quality

Requirements

• 7+ years in software development
• 2+ years in a relevant leadership role
• Proficiency in Java 8, Spring Boot, Spring MVC
• Understanding of RESTful API design
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions
• Qualifications in Apache Kafka for distributed event streaming
• Background in microservice architecture pattern and order fulfillment
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, including query optimization and indexing
• Experience with Redis for caching and session management
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of Azure Cosmos DB and Azure Cache for Redis
• English language proficiency at B2 level or higher

• Background in additional Azure services
• Understanding of inventory management integration
• Familiarity with payment gateway integrations and transaction processing
