Project Manager With Public Sector Healthcare Experience (Remote)

We are looking for a highly skilled and seasoned Project Manager to lead and deliver projects in the public sector and healthcare domains. This role is remote; however, candidates should be located in or around Austin, TX, to collect essential equipment from our headquarters.

As a Project Manager, you will spearhead intricate initiatives, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure the successful implementation of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Your responsibilities will encompass planning, budgeting, documentation, and coordinating a variety of project activities while acting as a vital liaison among stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including business cases, charters, schedules, operating plans, and requirements.
• Oversee solution vendors to manage application and data migration efforts, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and standards.
• Develop and implement migration strategies, collaborating with business owners and IT to provide actionable recommendations.
• Facilitate communication among stakeholders, system analysts, and vendors to meet workflow and system requirements.
• Lead data migration activities, manage workflows, and supervise application implementation.
• Regularly communicate project updates through verbal and written reports to stakeholders and leadership.
• Conduct meetings with subject matter experts, document workflows, and address vendor inquiries.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in managing multiple large-scale projects, particularly in EHR application areas.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio, and Jira.
• Strong knowledge of databases including InterSystems Caché, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proven capability to research, analyze, and devise solutions for complex issues.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and productivity across teams.
• Experience with data mapping, migration strategies, and implementation planning.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder updates and team discussions.

Qualifications

• Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) EHR systems and cloud data migrations.
• Familiarity with federal and state processes, including documentation requirements such as business case workbooks and project charters.
• PMP or Scrum Master Certification.
• Understanding of modern software architecture and infrastructure components.
