Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Remote)

We are actively recruiting a seasoned Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to contribute to our fully remote team’s innovation and product development efforts. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in developing complex web applications across diverse technology stacks, and will be expected to implement scalable architecture and high-quality code.

Technical Responsibilities

• Systems Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, UX/UI, and QA, to design system architecture, define application workflows, and implement features that meet stringent technical specifications and user requirements.
• Full-Stack Implementation: Architect and execute end-to-end solutions utilizing a blend of technologies including, but not limited to, Ruby on Rails for API and backend logic, relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL for data persistence, and modern frameworks like ReactJS with TypeScript for client-side interactivity and state management.
• Frontend and Backend Proficiency: Demonstrate advanced proficiency in both frontend (JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, CSS/SCSS, TailwindCSS) and backend (Ruby on Rails, RESTful APIs, MVC architecture) development. Capable of independently delivering features encompassing the complete software lifecycle from conception to deployment.
• Agile Methodologies: Actively engage in agile development practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Adapt rapidly to evolving project requirements using continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
• Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and peer developers, fostering a collaborative engineering culture that emphasizes code quality, maintainability, and performance optimization.
• Process and Efficiency Enhancement: Continuously evaluate existing processes to identify bottlenecks, implementing best practices and tools that optimize team productivity, workflow efficiencies, and code quality metrics.
• Stakeholder Communication: Effectively articulate complex architectural and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project deliverables and timelines.

Key Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in full-stack software engineering with a focus on developing and maintaining complex web applications in a microservices or monolithic architecture.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of the following technologies:
• Backend: Ruby on Rails, RESTful APIs
• Databases: MySQL/PostgreSQL
• Frontend: ReactJS, TypeScript, CSS/SCSS, TailwindCSS
• Proficiency in both version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) is essential.
• Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a fully remote, asynchronous team environment while utilizing project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) for task management.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional command of the English language in both written and oral communications, capable of drafting technical documentation and presenting technical concepts clearly.
• Agile Familiarity: Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum or Kanban, along with experience in sprint planning and backlog grooming.
• Project Leadership: Experience overseeing complex projects from inception to deployment, demonstrating strategic decision-making capabilities with a strong focus on detail and quality assurance.

Preferred Technical Expertise

• Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka), job processing frameworks (Sidekiq), and search engines (Elasticsearch).
• Experience with email service providers (Mailgun, SendGrid) and API integrations (e.g., LLM APIs).
• Previous work with community platforms or CRM/marketing automation tools, particularly focusing on email deliverability and workflow management.
• Record of adaptability in a fast-paced startup environment, showcasing the ability to rapidly assimilate new technologies and tools to maintain competitive advantage.
