Aws Security Engineer (Remote)

We are seeking a skilled AWS Security Engineer to ensure the security and compliance of our AWS infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of data security regulations, hands-on experience with AWS security tools, and the ability to design and implement robust security controls. You will play a critical role in protecting our Customer Data Platform (CDP) infrastructure and ensuring it aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Security Design & Implementation:
• Design and implement security controls for AWS infrastructure, including access controls (IAM), encryption (KMS), and vulnerability scanning.
• Collaborate with AWS architects and engineers to integrate security into infrastructure designs from the outset.
• Vulnerability Management:
• Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Monitor security logs and alerts using AWS tools such as Security Hub, Inspector, and GuardDuty.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with data security regulations, including GDPR and CCPA, and contribute to the development of security policies and procedures.
• Threat Monitoring & Incident Response:
• Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and implement measures to safeguard the CDP infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaboration & Documentation:
• Work with cross-functional teams to enhance security measures.
• Maintain documentation for security policies, procedures, and best practices.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:
• Strong understanding of AWS security tools (e.g., Security Hub, Inspector, GuardDuty).
• Experience in designing security controls for cloud infrastructures and performing vulnerability assessments.
• Knowledge of Regulations:
• Familiarity with data security best practices and regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience:
• Hands-on experience in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and implementing security measures for cloud environments.
