About our client

Our client, Pairtu, is a well-funded healthcare startup on a mission to empower every American with an AI-driven healthcare navigator. Their platform serves an underserved market of 13M+ people, targeting the 90% of Americans who struggle with healthcare literacy.

Led by a successful 2x founder (ex-Facebook, ex-VivaReal) with deep healthcare experience, they’re building a small, high-performing team focused on launching impactful products that make a real difference.

The Role

As our Founding Software Engineer, you’ll architect and build our platform from the ground up. This is a hands-on role where you’ll spend 80%+ of your time coding while setting the technical foundation for our future engineering team.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and implement our core platform, making key technical decisions that will shape our future
• Write clean, maintainable code across our full stack (website, patient app, backend, integrations)
• Set the technical roadmap and development standards
• Balance speed and quality while minimizing technical debt
• Support technical partnership evaluations and integrations
• Grow into a technical leadership role as we expand the engineering team

What You’ll Bring

• 4+ years of full-stack web development experience
• Strong foundation in API design and data modeling
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) or modern PaaS solutions
• Track record of shipping products in fast-paced environments
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into concrete technical solutions
• Startup experience or entrepreneurial mindset
• Healthcare experience is a plus

Location

Remote (US-based) with occasional travel to Los Angeles for team collaboration.
