SSP Australia are seeking an experienced Finance Manage to lead accounts team of eight to join our Finance team in Sydney.

Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
- Lead the finance team to complete all necessary financial reporting tasks, including month-end closure, processing of accounts payable and accounts receivables
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, Prepare and submit required financial reports to regulatory bodies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Provide insights on financial performance and variances.
Asset Management:
- Oversee the management of company assets, ensuring optimal utilization and value preservation.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of asset performance.
- Implement strategies for asset acquisition, disposal, and optimization
Project Capital Management:
- Evaluate and manage the financial viability of capital projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and maintain project financial models to assess potential returns and risks.
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets and timelines, ensuring effective resource allocation.
Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor and analyze cash flow to ensure the company maintains sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Develop cash flow forecasts and strategies to optimize working capital.
Internal Controls:
- Establish and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct regular assessments of internal controls and recommend improvements
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Bachelor/ master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, qualified CPA/CA/ACCA
- 10+ years of experience in a senior financial position, and have team management experience
- Be an analytical thinker with strong investigative and problem-solving skills, proved experience in procedures improvement and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent reporting-writing and communication skills
- Big 4 / accounting firm experience is desirable
