Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and managing the infrastructure and tools that enable continuous integration and delivery of software applications. You will work closely with development teams to streamline processes, enhance system performance, and ensure the reliability of distributed systems. Your expertise in DevOps practices will be crucial in driving our projects forward and fostering a culture of collaboration and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement web-based applications that require maintenance and transformation for various systems.
• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of new features into existing systems.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to distributed systems.
• Manage release processes, ensuring that software is delivered on time and meets quality standards.
• Utilize configuration management tools such as Chef to automate infrastructure provisioning.
• Maintain and optimize UNIX-based environments for application deployment.
• Implement best practices for network protocols including TCP/IP to enhance system security and performance.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our DevOps practices.

Experience

Work actively with application development teams to coordinate and optimize the steps that execute within the DevOps ecosystem and bring consistency and best practices in approach, tools, and standards.

• Create and implement security solutions in an integrated development environment.
• Must have historical and proven knowledge and practical application of DevSecOps.
• Strong oral and written communication skills along with excellent listening skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects.

Experience with AWS. Ability to understand and develop front-end and back-end; Experience conducting security scanning and remediation, release management, and operations support

Relevant Skills

• Experience working with Navy Data
• Experience working with configuration management tools, i.e., Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, others
• Agile/SAFe, and other related developer certifications and or demonstrate equivalent experience
• Experience with the principle of DevSecOps; Atlassian JIRA or other defect tracking tool experience

Start Date would be 1/17/2025

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $140,000.00 – $165,000.00 per year
