Computer Aided Design Engineer (Remote)

Role Overview

Based in Spain, The CAD Engineer will be working as part of a team to complete 2D and 3D renders of all CAD drawings the business generates from Secondary design to 132kV Substation layouts and conceptualizing various types of energy projects, principally Solar Farms and Battery Energy Storage System facilities to aid the business in work winning activities and the successful delivery of projects. You will be required to adhere to all safety regulations, quality standards and project specifications. The role reports directly to the CAD Manager. You should have a high regard for safety and flexible approach to working hours.

What will you be doing?

Produce the following reports/drawings:

• Primary compound layout and elevations
• Control and switch room building layout and elevations
• Cable route layout and sections
• Cable easement and wayleave (land ownership boundary)
• Access route
• Busbars and clamps package
• Above ground earthing package
• CDM layout design
• Swept path analysis (auto-turn)
• Creating and maintaining CAD libraries.
• Providing CAD support to the design team.
• Produce designs that follow EP policies, UK standards and legislation, DNO/IDNO policies and employer’s requirements

What are we looking for?

• An engineering background
• Experience in 2D and 3D AutoCAD.
• Highly organised with an ability to prioritise workload.
• Willingness to develop and learn new skills.
