Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS, GCP, Terraform, Docker, Datadog, Python)

Company Background: TekRek has partnered with an exciting US-based Infrastructure Data Security company. This firm provides end-to-end encryption infrastructure services to B2B SaaS companies. They are in a position where they expect tremendous growth in the years ahead.

Job Description:

As the Senior DevOps Engineer, you will:

• Work closely with the CTO, and backend distributed systems engineers to select and implement the structure, tools, and components that future hires will love to use.
• This DevOps role will collaboratively architect and implement the product infrastructure with the engineering team and the CTO.
• Several infrastructure responsibilities are shared with the backend team (e.g. maintaining the Helm charts), but this role would own the foundations (e.g. the Terraform, CD pipeline, identity etc) and the overall vision. You will have ownership of the infrastructure architecture and be a part of the process of prototyping, deploying things for early customer feedback and iterating as they grow and scale.

Job Requirements:

This job has some required and preferred skill sets to achieve the best results in the role.

Required:

• 5+ years of experience operating distributed systems deployed on Kubernetes in AWS or GCP
• Experience as a technical lead, making key architectural decisions
• Experience with Terraform, Docker, Helm
• Experience with Identity and Access Management, configuring systems for least privilege access
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD and other standard workflow tooling
• Familiarity with Datadog or Prometheus
• Familiarity with Python (the automated system health checks are written in
• Python)
