Job Title: DevOps Senior Consultant Azure DevOps Specialist

Location: Canada- Remote

Time Zone: Eastern Time US

Role Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Senior Consultant with extensive experience in Azure DevOps (ADO) to guide and elevate our Client s DevOps journey. The consultant will play a pivotal role in integrating existing Azure DevOps pipelines with tools like FreshDesk and SnapLogic and expanding DevOps practices to onboard additional applications. This role demands a deep understanding of DevOps methodologies, pipeline development, automation tools, and a collaborative mindset to guide teams and improve the efficiency of software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Integration & Pipeline Development:

1. Collaborate with teams to integrate existing Azure DevOps Pipelines with tools like:

• FreshDesk for support workflows.
• SnapLogic for data integration and automation.

DevOps Leadership & Enablement:

1. Act as a DevOps evangelist to guide teams in adopting best practices and leveraging Azure DevOps effectively.
2. Develop a roadmap to onboard applications not currently part of the pipeline to Azure DevOps.
3. Provide mentorship to development and operations teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and automation.

Tech Stack Implementation:

1. Optimize the use of the envisaged DevOps Tech Stack, including:

• Build and CI/CD tools: Azure Pipelines, TeamCity.
• Testing frameworks: JUnit, MSTest, nUnit, TestComplete, TestEngine.
• Static Analysis: SonarQube, Polaris.
• Monitoring tools: Datadog, LogicMonitor.
• Automation tools: Powershell, Ansible.

Deployment & Monitoring:

1. Define and implement strategies for multi-environment deployments (DEV through PROD).
2. Enhance monitoring and observability using tools like Datadog, LogicMonitor, and ensure real-time logging and alerting.

Documentation & Reporting:

1. Create detailed documentation, including pipeline workflows, integration guides, and DevOps playbooks.
2. Regularly report on the pipeline performance, build success rates, and deployment frequency.

Continuous Improvement:

1. Drive the adoption of DevOps metrics (e.g., lead time, deployment frequency, MTTR) to improve the overall delivery process.
2. Propose and implement enhancements to the existing tech stack and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

• Proven experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, repositories, boards, artifacts, etc.).
• Hands-on experience integrating DevOps pipelines with third-party tools like FreshDesk and SnapLogic.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages.
• Proficiency in implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines or TeamCity.
• In-depth understanding of modern testing frameworks such as JUnit, MSTest, nUnit, and automation tools like TestComplete.
• Experience with static code analysis tools such as SonarQube and Polaris.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Datadog, LogicMonitor, and setting up dashboards/alerts.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to engage and guide cross-functional teams.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, gather requirements, and propose scalable DevOps solutions.

Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, with a minimum of 3+ years working in Azure DevOps.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines.
• Previous experience leading DevOps transformations and enabling organizational adoption.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect.
• Certifications in relevant tools from the tech stack (e.g., Datadog, SonarQube).
