Devops Engineer (Remote)

Are you a DevOps expert ready to create innovative cloud solutions? teamative is seeking an experienced and passionate DevOps Engineer to join our remote team, where you’ll lead the design, implementation, and operation of cutting-edge cloud projects. This role is perfect for someone with a deep understanding of cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, or private clouds), microservice architectures, and DevOps automation practices. Your work will span optimizing monitoring, conducting deployments, and improving availability and performance for our clients’ infrastructures.

You’ll collaborate with developers, consult on cloud architecture, and engage in agile methods like sprints. If you have experience with tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Prometheus, and are ready to work hands-on with modern IaC and CI/CD processes, this could be the role for you. Fluency in English is essential, and German language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conception, implementation, operation and documentation for cloud projects, solutions and products
• Perform health checks, optimize monitoring and execute deployments in cloud environments
• Customer consulting on cloud architecture and intensive collaboration with developers and internal departments of customers around agile DevOps and operational processes
• Collaboration in DevOps / agile methods (Sprints, etc.)
• Automation with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management tools
• Conception, enhancements and optimization for continuous integration / continuous delivery
• Improvement of availability and performance
• Support for simple programming tasks (Python, Java)
• Creation of structured documentation
• Presentation of concepts and solutions for the customer

Qualifications

• Experience in cloud environment/cloud technologies (Azure or AWS or GCP or comparable Private Cloud)
• Extensive experience in microservice architectures, container and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker/OCI, Helm)
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos, Loki, Graylog, ELK/EFK, OpenSearch)
• Experience with databases in container deployments (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis or others)
• Experience with other open source, cloud-native technologies/concepts such as (Secret Management, Container Repositories, Ingress/Egress, Service Mesh)
• Experience with proxy (NGINX)
• Very good basic knowledge in handling with Linux
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, Terragrunt)
• Experience automation CI/CD and GitOps (ArgoCD or Flux)
• Experience in DevOps environment (git, Jenkins/GitLab, GitHub)
• Knowledge of infrastructure capabilities (networking, firewalls, proxies, certificates, webhooks)
• Agile working methods
• Fluency in English, knowledge of German will be an advantage
