Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching potential clients and industries. Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact. Understand client needs, challenges, and goals to provide tailored solutions.
- Conduct product demos and presentations, showcasing the company’s offerings and how they can solve client problems.
- Manage the entire sales process, from initial contact to closing deals. Negotiate contracts and pricing, ensuring mutual satisfaction for both the client and the company.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and quotas set by the company. Monitor progress and adjust sales strategies as needed to hit performance goals.
- Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align on strategies and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure continued satisfaction and to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market changes, and competitors’ offerings. Use market insights to position the company’s products/services effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and customer interactions using CRM tools. Provide regular sales forecasts and updates to leadership.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote products and generate leads.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is typically preferred. Relevant experience in lieu of a degree is sometimes acceptable.
- Proven experience (2-5 years) in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in B2B or SaaS environments.
- Strong knowledge of sales techniques, prospecting methods, and negotiation tactics. Ability to effectively present and communicate product value to potential clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and present ideas clearly.
- Proficient in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with the industry or market the company operates in, understanding key trends, customer pain points, and competitors.
- Strong problem-solving skills to offer creative solutions to client challenges. Analytical mindset to assess customer needs and provide tailored recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, leads, and sales processes simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven. Ability to stay focused and maintain persistence in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment.
- Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the sales process. Ability to act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and offering personalized solutions.
