About the Company:

We are a full-service developer, integrator and financier of energy recovery projects who discovers opportunities within existing infrastructure to generate clean power from wasted energy. We are developing the largest portfolio of small thermal and hydroelectric projects under one megawatt globally providing a turnkey solution. Managing all aspects of the project from design, technology assignment, financing to implementation and post commissioning services, we revel in the development process, finding elegant solutions to tough problems.

You Will Be Responsible for:

• Overseeing and managing accounting functions
• Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and controls
• Reviewing consolidated financial statements
• Month-end close including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Monitoring and analyzing accounting data
• Producing financial reporting packages, statements, and footnotes
• Ensuring business transactions are reported in accordance with accepted accounting principles.
• Generating client invoices and paying bills.
• Performing business analysis and providing insight into opportunities for improvement. (Supply chain, gross profit, product and services, etc.)
• Preparing financial reports (internal reporting package and board package).
• Maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other duties as assigned.
• Working with third party accounting partners to forecast future tax (sales and income) implications as the company moves into other states and international markets.
• Assisting with financial and tax audits.
• Developing accurate and comprehensive standard documentation for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual processes and procedures.
• Administering 401k Program
• Processing and maintaining third party payroll system
• Managing continuous process improvement to help drive efficiency and accuracy of the financials.
• Assisting with developing and improving accounting policies and guidelines.
• Managing cash and completing bank reconciliations.

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

• 3+ years of professional accounting experience (some public accounting experience preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
• Advanced Excel
• High degree of responsibility and ownership

• Familiarity with accounting software QuickBooks
• CPA Preferred
