Job Title: Senior .NET Developer

Are you a passionate .NET Developer eager to make an impact as part of an agile team? We’re seeking a dedicated professional to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications. You’ll have the opportunity to work on both front-end and back-end components of web and desktop applications using .NET technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

– Design, develop, test, and maintain web and desktop applications using C#, Angular, WPF, MSSQL, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Entity Framework, and related technologies.

– Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs.

– Perform unit testing, integration testing, and participate in peer code reviews to ensure the quality of deliverables.

– Contribute to continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions and ensure automated testing is part of the pipeline.

– Support and troubleshoot existing applications, diagnosing and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance.

– Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and best practices in .NET development and Agile methodologies, actively sharing knowledge with the team.

– Document technical solutions including system architecture, class models, and application flows to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education and Experience (must meet or exceed one):

– Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline with 4 years of relevant experience.

– Associate degree in computer science or a related discipline with 6 years of relevant experience.

– Certificate in computer science or a related discipline with 7 years of relevant experience.

– Active professional certification or accreditation with 8 years of relevant experience.

Technical Skills:

– 5+ years of experience in the Microsoft .NET Framework and using Microsoft Entity Framework.

– 5+ years of experience designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting applications.

– Proficient in .Net frameworks and C# application development using object-oriented techniques.

– Experience with MS SQL Server, Management Studio, stored procedures, data modeling, and reporting services.

– Skilled in building applications using Microsoft’s Windows Communication Foundation.

– Experience developing and maintaining web services, JSON REST API, and message queuing services.

– Experience integrating DevOps practices into development workflow using CI/CD best practices.

Additional Skills (nice to have):

– Experience with Agile methodology, Angular TypeScript web development, database development, Microsoft Azure DevOps Server, Power BI reporting, and SQL Server Analysis Services.

– Familiarity with Test Driven Development, mock testing frameworks, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), and frontend design frameworks like HTML, CSS, Angular, and React.

Working Conditions:

– Standard working hours: 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday.

– Primarily remote with the possibility of occasional onsite meetings. Must work from within Alberta due to network security measures.

Other Requirements:

– Enhanced background check required.

– Completion of mandatory training courses upon hiring.

Pay: $85.95 per hour
