You will be a part of a close-knitteam running a portfolio of automation projects within the automotivesector. We are preferably seeking someone with previous experience in thevehicle manufacture sector (BIW).The Automotive Project Manager – Change Management will beresponsible for effective change management to prevent scope creep andensure contractual change process is followed. You will ensure that robustManagement Plans (including PMP and IMS) are created, maintained andapplied in accordance with industry best practice. Review and approve riskmanagement process recommendations and ensuring the impact of risks iseliminated or significantly mitigated. Expediting matters as necessary tosecure efficient completion of the overall Programme. Ensuring contractmanagement and development activities are completed to support theprogramme (in consultation the Procurement, Finance and Legal). Managingsupplier and sub-contractors capacity and capabilities. Manage technical,cost, schedule and contract baselines. Review performance variances andimpacts to overall programme performance.This position is home-based, some travel will be required to ouroffices in Bedford or Wickford and regularly to customer sites.Required Experience:You have a proven track record in successfully delivering projects ortask work packages, ideally in the Automotive sector but we would encourageapplicants from all engineering/ manufacturing/ automationbackgrounds.Ideally some technical experience in Automation and Controls.Comfortable in both independent and collaborative working. Customer drivenand flexible in approach.Excellent communication skills – able to move projects forward, motivatemulti-functional teams to meet deadlines and keep customers updated onprogress. You’re also confident in negotiating and influencing at alllevels and competent in written comms, presentations and reporting.Problem solver – keeping projects on track, mitigating any issues whichmay cause delays. Solving customer queries and incorporating any changesthey want to make part way through.You will require a full, clean UK driving license.
