Your Role:

As a Backend Application Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing the server-side logic and integration of our web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient delivery and operation of our services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
• Implement data storage solutions, including databases and caching mechanisms.
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to support front-end functionality.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other team members to establish objectives and design cohesive, functional code.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to apply them to operations and activities.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Backend Application Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in server-side languages such as Rust, Python, Ruby, Java, PHP, or Node.js.
• Experience with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with front-end developers.
• Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Rust or Node.js as a primary backend framework.
• Experience in the cybersecurity sector or related fields.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Understanding of security best practices in web application development.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and continuous integration.
