Hanpoom.com is an e-commerce startup innovating online trade between Korean and the US with a mission of ‘creating the most comfortable cross-border Korean good marketplace’.

Hanpoom provides a 2-day free shipping experience (all shipped from South Korea), free return and exchange, and 24-hour customer service. Our main headquarters is located in Seoul and the warehouse operates in Icheon, South Korea. We are currently building a new team in the Philippines that focuses on product and development.

Our Tech Stack

• Frontend: Typescript, React (NextJS, Remix), React Query, & Tailwind
• Backend & DB: Typescript, Node.js (NestJS), TypeORM, GraphQL and MySQL
• Infrastructure: AWS and GCP

Primary Responsibilities

As a Backend Developer, you’re responsible for developing and maintaining internal admin and warehouse management systems, webhook integrations, and understand SQL concepts and writing queries. Your role also includes:

• Work closely with developers and designers to plan and execute product roadmaps
• Design and develop SQL databases, including tables, views, and stored procedures
• Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization
• Implement appropriate access controls, backups, and recovery processes to ensure database security and integrity
• Develop API endpoints
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within our database and web applications

Qualifications

• Over 3 years of professional experience in systems development, with a focus on MySQL, Node.js (NestJS), JSON and Typescript
• Proficient in database querying, designing and planning (MySQL)
• Proficient in RESTful API development, webhooks and external services integration
• Experience in GraphQL API development
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Experience with data warehousing in AWS, GCP cloud frameworks
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9AM – 6PM Philippine time

Work Setup: 100% WFH

Salary Range: 50k-70k, depending on experience
