Backend Software Developer (Remote)

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer passionate about advancing sustainability in e-commerce. As part of our growing Tech Team, you will play a key role in developing our client’s software with clean, efficient code that supports their mission. You’ll have plenty of room for personal and professional growth, with opportunities to innovate and make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, cross-functional team. This is a fully remote role, so you can work from wherever you perform best, whether it’s your home office or a shared workspace.

Responsibilities

– Collaborate with an international and cross-functional team of front-end and back-end developers to enhance our client’s software and architecture.

– Design, develop, and maintain APIs, supporting robust, scalable, and secure communication across applications.

– Create new features and optimize existing ones to enhance the performance and functionality of our software.

– Document and test code thoroughly, ensuring high-quality releases and supporting your team in these processes.

– Participate in brainstorming sessions and bring fresh ideas to the table, contributing to our vision for sustainable software solutions.

Soft Skills

– A holistic approach to software development, appreciating the bigger picture and respecting interdependencies within the product.

– Experience in end-to-end development processes, including testing and integration.

– A genuine interest in Green IT and sustainable software practices.

Hard Skills

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

– Several years of software development experience with proficiency in modern programming languages such as PHP, Python, Typescript, Nuxt.js, and Nest.js.

– Hands-on experience with REST API frameworks, such as Lumen or similar.

– Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

– Nice-to-have: Experience in Fintech or SaaS industries.
