The role

The Bid Manager will develop client and prospect bids, proposals and pitches across the Davies Group proposition in the UK and Ireland and will be responsible for:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders at the outset of each pursuit to define the win strategy and manage thereafter all stages of the bid process
  • Draft/edit bid content and coordinate internal stakeholder contributions relative to each bid to ensure timely delivery of best-in-class bid content
  • Provide clear briefings to stakeholders and bid designers to ensure efficient bid management
  • Prepare teams for sales presentations and pitches, ensuring structure, content, style and delivery align with the opportunity
  • Ensure follow-on information requests post-bid are coordinated and fulfilled promptly
  • Report on bid outcomes, live activity and pipeline movements to maintain global business wide visibility
  • Collaborate with bid team colleagues to identify and support group-wide cross sell opportunities
  • Maintain relevant sections of the central library of core response materials to aid efficient drafting where appropriate
  • Capture client feedback on bid submissions and ensure lessons learned are communicated internally and implemented

Key skills and experience required

  • Well-honed skills in bid/tender management, ideally within the professional/insurance services sector
  • Ability to cut through technical complexity and translate requirements to stakeholders worldwide

  • Excellent project management skills to coordinate multiple lines of operation
  • Effective time-management skills, able to deliver within tight deadlines
