YER is delighted to collaborate with Royal Kaak in the search for an Area Sales Manager focused on the West Coast. We are seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join the introduction of Royal Kaak in the U.S. If you are a trailblazer, entrepreneur, and hunter with a background in food processing equipment, we want to hear from you.

With 175 years of international leadership in standalone machines and complete bakery lines, Royal Kaak recently launched its operations in the U.S. As part of a small team of Sales Managers, you will play a crucial role in expanding their business in North America.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Sales, Support, and Advice:

  • Develop and implement sales acquisition plans, including KPIs, for existing and potential clients in the designated area, in collaboration with Kaak’s commercial teams.
  • Direct and manage the sales process, engaging necessary stakeholders and knowledge carriers to achieve objectives.
  • Manage the offering of Kaak’s products, including Integrated Lines, Standalone/Component sales, and Global Services.
  • Actively identify and market customer requirements, wishes, and market trends to present optimal propositions.
  • Provide strategic, tactical, and operational advice to customers on bakery-related issues.
  • Identify market trends and translate them into proposals for product-market combinations.
  • Maintain contacts with product management and product development within the Kaak portfolio.
  • Keep customer files and data up-to-date, maintaining CRM systems and other commercial systems.

Account Management:

  • Maintain and expand relationships with customers.
  • Foster relationships with stakeholders and knowledge carriers from Kaak’s various business units.
  • Attend relevant congresses and trade fairs.
  • Generate sufficient leads to manage the 18-month rolling forecast sales funnel.

Project Support & Administration:

  • Manage the pre-sales process using available tools and systems.
  • Design budgets, quotes, sales contracts, and order confirmations.
  • Provide information to project managers for sold projects.

Skills:

  • Experience in the food processing equipment industry.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong relationship management, attention to detail, negotiating skills, networking abilities both externally and internally, proactivity, persuasiveness, dealmaking skills, logical match with the assigned sales area, basic-level sales engineering skills, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve commercial and organizational objectives (quality, quantity, financial).
  • Initiate, maintain, and expand relationships with customers.
  • Consolidate and increase brand awareness in the assigned sales area.
  • Provide creative advice to promote the Kaak portfolio.
  • Follow up on deliveries and handle complaints and customer questions.
  • Ensure a complete handover of sold projects to project management
