About the Opportunity:

Due to expanding their client base, the firm is seeking an Intermediate OR Senior Accountant to bolster their Business Services team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with 2+ years of experience within an Australian accounting firm, coupled with CA/CPA qualifications or willing to complete.

They offer first class training, mentorship, and are looking for people with a long term outlook to progress within the business. Incoming candidates are offered a collaborative & welcoming culture, tailored progression plans to suit you, and an exciting, diverse range of clients to work across. 

What your day to day would look like:

• Engage with a diverse portfolio of clients ranging in industry type & turnover size
• Preparations of IAS & BAS 
• Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for all entity types (excluding SMSF)
• Div 7A, CGT and FBT Calculations 
• Advisory services with client contact from the start for Seniors & intermediates will be integrated into full advisory over time
• Management of your own client portfolio
• Liaison with the ATO
• Maintenance and preparation of clients financial records
• Excellent client relationship and rapport-building skills

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in an Australian accounting firm
• CA/CPA qualifications in progress willing to complete
• Proven experience in an Australian accounting firm
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
