Key Responsibilities

  • Lead communication processes with clients, triaging and answering technical accounting, product, pricing, and process questions with varying complexity.
  • Manage and prevent client escalations by leveraging exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills, combined with technical and product knowledge.
  • Effectively guide clients through product changes (upgrades or downgrades in service offerings) and follow up on resolutions.
  • Prepare and explain add-on billing charges.
  • Process client terminations.
  • Deliver high-quality bookkeeping and tax services to a portfolio of clients of different sizes and industries.
  • Understand client business models to provide tailored support with products, processes, and client relations.
  • Advise on client communication and best practices.
  • Support maintenance, onboarding, and tax teams with phones or email, as needed.
  • Contribute to department and team projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO)/Certification highly desired.
  • 3 years of progressive bookkeeping experience in a multi-client environment.
  • 3 years of client servicing experience handling tasks of various complexity for small business owners.
  • Strong understanding of small business accounting and tax services.
  • Superior verbal (phone) and written communication skills, with the ability to read and adapt to your audience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong skills in problem-solving, process improvement, critical thinking, and prioritization.
  • Ability to work in an autonomous environment as a self-directed, independent worker.

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must meet work from home requirements, including a dedicated workspace and high-speed internet.
  • Complete continuing education based on current certifications.

  • Competitive annual salary range: $57,000 – $62,000.
