Data Services Delivery Manager (Remote)

Working in a key role within Data Services at VITA Health Group, the Data Services Delivery Manager will underpin data product delivery with internal teams and customers.

The role holder will own and manage the backlog of work items, supporting the Lead Data Engineer and working with a team of internal engineers through the software change cycle, typically managing agile development of software.

They will manage the gathering and documenting of requirements from the business, assisted by the rest of the Data Services team to translate them into technical requirements. They will own the DevOps processes, continuously evaluating and improving processes to enhance efficiency, including maintenance of the backlog reporting to the IT Director.

Working with the team to facilitate smooth execution, the Data Services Delivery Manager will identify bottlenecks and remove obstacles. They will work with key market unit stakeholders to define roadmaps for data products, ensure that all products are built to an appropriate level of quality and passed through each development phase (i.e. dev/systems test, UAT, pre-prod and prod) and ensure that the Data Change Advisory Board processes are adhered to.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Significant experience in a related role, e.g. BA/PM/Product Owner on formal Data/IT/digital projects delivery

• Significant experience in facilitating agile/software delivery and SDLC, such as SCRUM prioritising work and protecting development based on business need.

• A proven track record of successfully capturing requirements, documenting, and tracing from idea to delivery.

• An appropriate PM/Programme Manager Certification E.g. Prince II or Agile PM

• Proficient in Agile project management tools, DevOps/Jira, including reporting, systems changes and iteration management.

• A robust understanding of applied IT project management delivery methods e.g. Agile, SCRUM and Waterfall.

• Ability to build strong trust relationships with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels, including c-level executive and clinical directors.

• Expertise in process optimisation and priotitisation across an entire organisation.

• An awareness of and commitment to supporting and facilitating diversity and inclusion.

• Willingness to travel on rare occasions

Desirable:

• Expertise in Data Engineering and/or BI model delivery.

• Experience of working on project definition, lead and change under formal change framework in a health sector setting.

• Significant experience in a defined data projects or related data business analyst team lead/lead role

• Experience in delivering software projects using CI/CD

• Experience in delivering cloud-based projects

• ISEB BA Diploma
