Position: DevOps Engineer (Mid to Senior Level )

Location: Kathmandu, Nepal (Remote)

Shift: Evening Shift (6 PM – 2 AM)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role requires working during the evening shift to ensure smooth operations and high availability of our systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate processes, enhance system reliability, and support our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless deployment and infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure.
• Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployments using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support fast and reliable software delivery.
• Monitoring and Logging: Implement and maintain monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and logging systems (e.g., ELK stack) to ensure system health and performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes.
• Incident Management: Respond to and resolve incidents during the evening shift, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient recovery.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and monitor security best practices for infrastructure and applications.
• Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation of systems, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or a similar language.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of networking, system architecture, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience in managing databases and caching systems (e.g., MySQL, Redis).
• Exposure to Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
