Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Project Manager (Implementations) with a background in managing technical marketing projects at a digital marketing agency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and fine-tuning essential marketing tools and platforms, ensuring that our clients’ digital marketing tracking, analytics, and integrations run seamlessly. This role blends strategic planning, technical execution, and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Management & Execution
  • Manage end-to-end digital marketing implementation projects for multiple clients, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones while effectively communicating progress and potential issues to stakeholders.
  1. Call Tracking & Analytics
  • Configure CallRail phone number pools and implement dynamic number insertion on WordPress websites.
  • Regularly audit call tracking implementations to ensure accurate attribution and reporting.
  1. Tag Management & Conversion Tracking
  • Utilize Google Tag Manager (GTM) to set up and refine conversion tracking, event tracking, and custom triggers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and test tracking pixels from various ad platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.).
  1. Website & CMS Integrations
  • Install and manage tracking codes, plugins, and scripts on WordPress sites without disrupting site performance or user experience.
  • Troubleshoot code conflicts and performance issues to maintain optimal site health.
  1. Hosting & DNS Configuration
  • Oversee hosting environments (with a strong preference for WP Engine) to ensure site stability and scalability.
  • Manage DNS settings, CNAME records, and other relevant configurations to ensure seamless domain and subdomain integrations.
  1. Google Platform Connectivity
  • Expertly integrate and connect Google platforms (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Ads) to align with marketing strategies.
  • Set up and maintain Google Business Profiles, resolve duplicate listings, and handle suspension issues.
  1. Documentation & Training
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including implementation guides, UTM frameworks, and code repositories.
  • Train internal teams and clients on best practices for using analytics tools and interpreting data.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Agency Background: Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a digital marketing agency environment, managing technical implementations for multiple clients.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in CallRail setup and management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Tag Manager and other tracking tools.
  • Familiarity with WordPress backend, plugins, and code implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with hosting (preferably WP Engine) and DNS configurations.
  • Google Stack Expertise: Strong understanding of Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), Google Ads, and Google Business Profiles.
  • Problem-Solving: Adept at troubleshooting technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Google Analytics Certification, Google Ads Certification, or related credentials.
