Responsibilities
- Manage the design of water distribution systems, sanitary collection systems including pump/lift stations, sanitary sewer evaluation surveys, rehabilitation, and replacement recommendations, and consent decree compliance. Other projects may include stormwater design, watershed studies and H&H modeling, stormwater program compliance, and wet infrastructure management.
- Manage internal technical teams and managing projects to profitability.
- Provide exceptional project delivery to clients.
- Perform negotiation of project schedule, fee, scope, and contract terms.
- Identify, address and resolve any project issues impacting client goals, objectives and/or client satisfaction.
- Define and communicate client needs and expectations.
- Ensure continuous stakeholder (client, client’s manager, etc.) communications addressing, resolving, and anticipating project issues.
- Mentor staff.
- Growth of our SSES and water /wastewater services focusing on Ohio through the establishment or improvement of client relationships.
- Work across Water Market areas to develop business opportunities and assure services are performed in a manner compatible with Woolpert’s goal of being an industry leader.
- Build and enhance existing client relationships to identify and initiate additional project opportunities within the client base for SSES and water /wastewater services.
- Identify and build new client relationships that match the client and project type focus and overall business strategy.
- Promote Woolpert as an industry leader for SSES and water /wastewater services with new and existing clients.
- Industry leader representing Woolpert by attending conferences and involvement in local, regional and industry organizations, groups and committees.
Qualifications
- BA/BS and 14 years related experience, MA/MS and 12 years related experience or 16 years related experience.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in Ohio required.
- Work experience and client relationships with local and state agencies in Ohio.
- Must have business development sales acumen and project management skills.
- Must be able to make sound decisions/recommendations based on the evaluation and synthesis of information and data.
- Must demonstrate an enterprising, innovative, proactive management approach.
- Must possess high levels of demonstrated leadership ability.
- Must be able to research and define multiple project scopes, schedules and budgets.
- Must be able to establish and maintain rapport with clients, vendors, management, and employees.
- Must possess strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Must possess excellent facilitation and/or meeting skills.
- Must possess excellent presentation and communication (oral and written) skills.
- Must have Microsoft Office suite skills
- Must be able to travel as required to meet the needs and demands of the Market.
