We are currently working with fantastic brand and one of the largest suppliers of Industrial, Medical and specialist gases in the UK and Ireland. With over 400,000 customers being covered from a network of major production facilities, distribution centres and retail stores across the UK and Ireland.

What you will enjoy doing

This is an exciting brand-new opportunity in our Safety, Health, Environment & Quality team to support and drive our environmental and sustainability agenda, making an impact in what we do and the communities we serve

You will have direct responsibility for the actions and projects arising from our sustainability goals, community engagement, climate change and environmental requests from the business

Providing clear and concise communication on our environment and sustainability performance and activities

There will be an element of data analysis required for this role to enable the business to make informed and proactive decisions on environmental and sustainability topics

This role gives you the chance to bring creativity and new ideas in digital solutions to improve our sustainability systems

You will have management of our environmental management system, leading on audits and keeping all environmental and sustainability documents up to date

In addition, you will be responsible for completing and sharing our annual sustainability report

And lastly, you will manage and run key task forces in response to regulatory requests when needed

What makes you great

You have an understanding of and passion to drive positive change in environmental and sustainability topics. In addition, you have a good working knowledge of computer systems and software.

You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to network and inspire others

You have a degree or similar level qualification in environment or sustainability, or 3 years’ work experience in a related and similar role

You have a knowledge of ISO14001 – the recognised standard for environmental management systems and industrial environmental legislation

And finally, you want to develop and learn new things with an interest in undertaking a company sponsored MSc in Sustainability
