Job Overview:
We are seeking a visionary and Founding Business Development and Strategy Executive to establish and lead our sales department in the global healthcare sector. As the first hire in this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the outbound medical sales function, driving lead generation, securing sales closures, and creating a strategic roadmap for market expansion. Your expertise will directly impact our growth trajectory and revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy targeting the US healthcare market.
- Lead Generation: Identify and engage high-potential leads through innovative outbound strategies, including targeted email campaigns, strategic cold outreach, in-depth market research, and professional networking to build a strong sales pipeline.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent engagement and follow-up with prospective clients.
- Sales Closure: Lead contract negotiations, close deals, and achieve revenue targets.
- Market Expansion: Analyze global healthcare trends and competitor strategies to identify new business opportunities and expansion areas.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to align sales efforts with company objectives.
- Reporting: Track and report sales metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Team Building: Lay the groundwork for the sales department by defining processes, tools, and workflows. Once the process for healthcare services is firmly established, take the lead in recruiting and mentoring team members to scale the department effectively.
Qualifications:
- Proven 3+ years of experience in business development or sales in the healthcare industry, ideally with a global focus.
- In-depth understanding of healthcare systems, regulatory frameworks (HIPAA), and medical coding standards (ICD-10, HCPCS, CPT).
- Demonstrated success in lead generation and sales closures, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute long-term growth plans.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, ZOHO) and sales analytics, as well as other tools like Apollo.io and Mailchimp, along with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and build systems from scratch.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Established a network in the global healthcare market.
- Advanced degree in business, healthcare management, or a related field.
