Frontend Developer (Remote)

We’re looking for a passionate Front-End Developer with a strong background in React, Flutter, and other client-side technologies to join our team. This role involves building rich user experiences, collaborating with designers and backend engineers, and ensuring that our platform is optimized for performance and scalability.

Front-End Developer (React/Flutter)

Key Responsibilities

• Front-End Development
• Develop and maintain user-facing features using React (web) and Flutter (mobile).
• Implement responsive UI components and interactive features that deliver seamless video playback, editing, and sharing experiences for end-users.
• Cross-Platform Development
• Collaborate on cross-platform solutions that ensure consistent user experiences across web and mobile apps.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Performance Optimization
• Optimize client-side performance, focusing on fast load times and a smooth video playback experience.
• Profile and debug performance issues and propose solutions.
• Integration & APIs
• Work closely with backend engineers to integrate RESTful or GraphQL APIs, ensuring data consistency and reliability.
• Handle state management with Redux (or other libraries), Provider, BloC, or similar patterns for Flutter.
• Code Quality & Best Practices
• Follow coding best practices, including code review, testing, and documentation.
• Maintain high standards of software quality and timely delivery.
• Collaboration & Communication
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional, engaging interfaces.
• Work with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements, define technical tasks, and provide accurate effort estimates.
• Participate in regular sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development; significant hands-on experience with both React and Flutter.
• Technical Skills
• React: Experience building complex UIs, knowledge of state management (Redux, MobX), React Hooks, and performance optimization.
• Flutter: In-depth understanding of Flutter widgets, Dart language, and tools like Flutter CLI; familiarity with state management patterns (Provider, BloC, Riverpod).
• Familiarity with TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern HTML/CSS.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or similar technology for data fetching.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and responsive design.
• Exposure to video handling libraries or media streaming technologies is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Golang, Node.js, Express, Next.js, or other backend technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Knowledge of UI/UX best practices and design tools like Figma or Sketch.
• Understanding of video streaming protocols (HLS, DASH) and CDN integration.
• Prior experience working with a UGC or social media platform.
