We are seeking a talented and experienced Head of Security Engineering to lead our efforts in ensuring the protection of our systems and data.

As the Head of Security Engineering, you will play a critical role in shaping and maintaining the security posture of our organisation. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires expertise in AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, micro services, and CI/CD platforms.

You will lead a team of dedicated security professionals and work closely with other departments to implement and maintain cutting-edge security solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of security engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions for our cloud-based infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Develop and enforce security best practices for containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ensure the security of our micro services architecture and associated components.
• Oversee the implementation of robust CI/CD security pipelines to enhance our development and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development life cycle.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging threats to proactively address security risks.
• Manage security incidents and lead incident response efforts when necessary.

Requirements

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, and CEH are required.
• Extensive experience in AWS and Azure cloud security.
• Proficiency in containerisation technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of micro services architecture and security best practices.
• Expertise in CI/CD platforms and their security implications.
• Proven experience leading and managing a team of security professionals.
• Hands-on experience in security assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response.
