Job Title: Junior Backend Developer

Working hours– 8 AM to 4:30 PM PST

Job Summary

We’re seeking an experienced junior Backend Developer to work on a billing system project. The ideal candidate will have expertise in databases, automated testing tools, and third-party API integrations. Collaboration with our internal team and adherence to specific working hours are required.

Specific functionalities required.

1. Firstly, billing modules require both technical skill and knowledge of financial processes. An effective in-house developer would need to know financial best practices and have knowledge of security processes as well.

1. Skills needed would be coding (Python, Java, PHP, Ruby), deep knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) for transaction management, working experience with frameworks (Ruby, Express.js, Django), seasoned experience with payment API’s (PayPal, WePay, Stripe)

2. Security knowledge is also pivotal, and this includes PCI DSS compliance (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), fraud detection and prevention, data encryption best practices for credit card and customer data. o Any existing architecture or frameworks that the module must integrate with.

1. Indeed, the architecture is sure to require third party payment API integration (PayPal, WePay, Stripe) and database interactions. o Required customizations or enhancements for specific workflows.

1. Special consideration is always needed for transaction tax calculations that are region specific and compliant with local laws, multiple currency exchange rates if framework is to support international business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain the billing system using PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.

2. Create automated tools for testing and tracking performance.

3. Integrate third-party payment APIs (PayPal, WePay, Stripe).

4. Collaborate with our internal testing team through weekly meetings.

5. Ensure seamless integration with our existing systems.

Requirements

1. Database expertise: Proficiency in PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.

2. Automation skills: Ability to create automated tools for testing and performance tracking.

3. API integration experience: Experience with third-party payment API integrations (PayPal, WePay, Stripe).

4. Collaboration: Willingness to collaborate with our internal team through weekly meetings.

Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary

Pay: ₹335,699.80 – ₹1,200,000.00 per year
