Manager Business Development Sales Ind | First Solar | India
Job DescriptionThe primary job responsibilities include: (1) assisting in the development of First Solar’s market participation strategy for India, (2) positioning First Solar as a leading solar solution for target customers and assigned market segments in India, (3) identifying and cultivating key strategic relationships at the off-take and developer level, and (4) leading First Solar’s sales and execution efforts in India.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing and contributing to the execution of First Solar’s India strategy including market plan development, competitor and customer assessment, pricing and demand analysis, regulatory, political and policy assessment.
- Work with market development, product management, EPC and market communications to develop targeted product offerings for India, for the assigned market segment.
- Provide information to business development and market communications teams to assist in the promotion of the organization’s goods and/or services.
- Actively manage all customer and sales activities for the assigned market segment in India.
- Local representative lead in the assigned market segment for external facing activities, including customer engagement, pipeline origination, transaction execution and regulatory affairs.
Related Experience & Educational Requirements:
This role would suit a highly self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment and has the vision and experience to develop and manage an effective set of market development initiatives to serve large accounts. To succeed in this role you will possess a combination of leadership abilities and detail-oriented execution skills.
- A graduate level qualification in Engineering with at-least 12 years of experience in the Energy/Renewable market segment.
- Specific experience on Solar energy and is a plus.
- Sound technical background.
- Negotiation and execution skills at an external facing level, with understanding of Contract terms prevalent in the India market.
- Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Experience in external facing role, including customer relationship development and management.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as a successful track record as a team player.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and multi-task a variety of activities including cross-functional interaction internally.
- Significant attention to detail.
- A strong desire to be a part of a rapidly growing business with an opportunity to progress.
