About
Trekker Trekker Warrior Foundation is a non-profit organization run by a community of passionate trekkers, nature lovers, and mountaineers. We love natural habitats, especially in and around the mountains, and want to preserve their serenity and beauty. Our journey began in 2020 with a simple idea – combine trekking with social good in the mountains and give back to nature while enjoying its company. Along the way, we also developed a community through on-ground activities, social media, and word-of-mouth, with many programs aimed at driving intention to act and inspiring people. Since then, we’ve grown significantly, with over 100 community leaders, 200+ on-ground drives, and 25k+ followers on social media.
Role Description
As we enter the next growth phase, we’re looking for a dynamic and passionate Community Manager & Operations to join us full-time. This role requires a 35-hour weekly commitment to drive community building, support social media and fundraising efforts, and manage operations for running on-ground activities. The ideal candidate should be dynamic, a go-getter, empathic, and passionate about nurturing our community and positively impacting the environment and society.
The person will build regional chapters, manage operations, and decentralize activities. The person will also understand the interest areas of our community members, identify commitment levels, and align them with opportunities across Trekker Warrior. They will be comfortable working with people and communities and passionate about nature and environmental conservation. Their work will directly influence how fast Trekker Warrior and its communities grow.
Responsibilities
1. Build, nurture, and engage the community by sharing updates on programs and work.
2. Source, screen, and onboard potential community leaders and volunteers; understand their commitment levels, areas of interest, and availability.
3. Respond to community members and prospective volunteers; help them familiarize themselves with Trekker Warrior and succeed; build strong relationships; re-engage inactive members.
4. Collaborate with the social media and content team to design and promote high-quality content.
5. Liaise with founders and volunteers; report weekly progress on organizational growth.
6. Provide insights to develop volunteer hiring and success roadmaps; analyze data and identify growth opportunities.
7. Develop partnerships with similar organizations, educational institutes, and social media influencers to expand our footprint.
8. Track volunteer progress; keep the community members engaged, motivated, and accountable.
Requirements
1. Passion for non-profit work, climate change, and environmental preservation.
2. Proficiency in English and Hindi; excellent writing and communication skills.
3. High work ethic, integrity, and commitment to succeed and give back.
4. Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), internet, and online meetings.
5. Desire and ability to learn, excel, and grow continuously.
6. Analytically strong with the ability to manage, analyze problems, and form a point of view.
