Summary
We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Marketing Manager to join our team at [Company Name]. As a key member of our Marketing department, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating various projects and tasks, fostering collaboration between Marketing and Sales, and ensuring the alignment of our marketing efforts with company objectives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a dedication to delivering high-quality work. This position will be based at our headquarters in Sterling, VA, requiring on-site presence for 2-3 days per week with occasional travel.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
5-7 years of professional experience, preferably in marketing/communications or departmental project management within a corporate environment
Strong analytical and organizational abilities to navigate the challenges of a rapidly growing company
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in PowerPoint required; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) a plus
Experience in food manufacturing environment desirable
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Senior Director to develop and execute sales channel-specific marketing plans, coordinating internally and with agency partners
Draft compelling, on-brand copy for marketing collateral and packaging, ensuring accuracy and adherence to style guidelines
Act as the department’s project manager for key initiatives, overseeing team tasks, timelines, and review processes
Develop and manage Marketing department timelines and processes within the company-wide “product lifecycle,” refining as necessary through cross-departmental collaboration
Evaluate and manage Marketing Request Form submissions, communicating effectively with stakeholders and assigning tasks accordingly
Maintain the Marketing Knowledge Base, ensuring accessibility of resources for internal departments
Educate departments on Marketing department processes and timelines through written communication and presentations
Provide support to the Special Events Coordinator for tradeshows and corporate events, both on-site and off-site
Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Senior Director
