Power Bi Developer (Remote)

The Company CW Strategic Solutions Group LLC is looking for candidates to fill the Microsoft Power BI Developer position for full-time remote work as a contractor.

Job Overview:

The Power BI developer will build and deploy Power BI reporting utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform. The candidate will have the experience, skill set and capabilities to perform the expected responsibilities of a PBI developer.

Requirements:

• 3–5 Years of experience in business analytics development with Power BI.
• Highly desirable experience building Office 365 solutions including Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, Dynamics 365, SharePoint Online.
• Experience with Azure Data Services and Visual Studio.
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Integration Services a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems; or related discipline is desired.
• Experience with Agile Methodology and related solutions like Jira.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Must be motivated, independent and self-sufficient. Able to receive an assigned task and see it through to completion with minimal supervision.
• The Candidate should be comfortable demonstrating reporting or interacting with internal and external end users.

Responsibilities:

• Report & Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that communicate key metrics and insights effectively to stakeholders.
• Data Modeling & Transformation: Create and optimize data models to support efficient data retrieval and analytics, implement relationships, hierarchies, and calculations using DAX and Power Query.
• Data Integration: Connect to data sources (e.g., SQL databases, cloud storage, Excel, APIs) and ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
• Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize Power BI solutions for performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth user experience.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to understand data needs, gather requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
• Best Practices & Documentation: Establish and maintain documentation of data models, data flows, and solution frameworks. Promote data governance and industry best practices throughout the reporting environment.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest Power BI features, data visualization trends, and emerging best practices to continuously enhance and evolve reporting capabilities.
