We have an exciting opportunity to join our newly structured Marketing team which has recently undergone a significant organisational change. As PR & Communications Manager, you will lead, develop and deliver market-leading PR campaigns, communications and initiatives as well as manage the PR team to do the same.

This could be just the role for you if you have strong PR communications and people management expertise!

This is a remote, home-based position, however depending on your location there could be the opportunity to work from one of our UK based offices on a hybrid basis. Travel to meetings will also be required.

Working closely with the corporate affairs PR lead, you will be responsible for leading on tactical PR to support the business result, effectively managing the PR team to secure press coverage and achieve the aims and objectives of the business.

This is a hands-on busy role which requires enthusiasm, the ability to multi-task, manage and drive your own workload as well as the workload of your team to influence stakeholders and achieve challenging results.

Some of the other key responsibilities include

Working with marketing leads across the platform to develop the use of digital media, including all forms of social media ensuring content is created that facilitates engagement.

Own the PR communications plan, commissioning content, digital assets, photography and animation whilst providing coaching and direction in managing the team.

Working reactively and proactively with journalists from print, broadcast and online media, including regional, national, trade and industry, building relationships and a network of strong contacts aligned to the platforms key target markets.

Appointing and managing an agency to support and enhance the efforts of the internal team, utilising their contacts, relationships and knowledge.

Manage the collation and distribution of MI that monitors, analyses and scrutinises PR activity, including overseeing recommendations for improvements.

Key requirements for the PR and Communications Manager:
Strong experience in PR / Communications or related (anthropology, psychology, etc.) with specific experience of managing media communications for a large, complex organisation.

Experience of managing PR agencies and building strong working relationships with the media with proven knowledge and experience of successfully executing social media campaigns.

You must be an excellent planner and self-motivated in order to manage a varied workload and demonstrate good leadership and people management experience.

The ability to influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders is essential.

Able to demonstrate the delivery of great outcomes through collaborating as part of a virtual team in a dynamic, fast paced and results-focused environment.
