About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced product designer who not only wants to create eye-catching product designs but also help shape a design-centric culture from the ground up. As our first full-time designer, you’ll be directly involved in defining and scaling our design strategy. You’ll work alongside a passionate team committed to building a product that prioritizes user experience and efficiency. This role goes beyond just designing for the now; it’s about laying the groundwork for the future of product design at Talisman.

💼 What You’ll Do

• Contribute to our product strategy and decision-making process, ensuring that design plays a central role.
• Lead end-to-end design projects, creating high-quality interactions, flows, and visuals that reflect our dedication to quality and user experience.
• Collaborate daily with founders, engineers, and other stakeholders to refine designs and align with user needs.
• Build and maintain a cohesive design system within Figma, ensuring consistency across our product.
• Help shape and advocate for a design-first culture within Talisman, including mentoring future design hires and setting up early design processes.
• Regularly participate in design critiques and provide thoughtful feedback to help push the boundaries of our design language.

• Experience: You have a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to solve complex UX, UI, and interaction challenges in fast-paced environments. You also are a pro at building designs that look great on any device.
• Tools: Expertise in Figma, Framer, and design systems. Familiarity with design principles that align with our design-centric approach.
• Mindset: You’re quick and iterative, balancing creativity with practicality. You’re a problem solver who enjoys thinking through the nuances of design.
