As part of the Auckland based support office, you will sit within the Merchandise team, supported by a lead production manager, designers and garment technicians and will be an integral part of the development process to ensure that collections are designed to standards that are viable for bulk manufacture. Working closely with vendors to follow timelines and secure capacity.
The production Co-Ordinator role serves to manage the end-to-end critical path for our multiple in-house brands, Bendon, me.bybendon, Pleasure State, Fayreform, Bendon Man and Lovable. You will support the production function on the planning and coordination of the production of garments for manufacture by overseas suppliers and ensuring that products meet company standards, international quality standards and demand requirements.

What you will be responsible for:
- Production Management, all-encompassing the coordination of the timely, accurate and cost-effective production via overseas suppliers of indent and basic product ranges
- Costings and order placements, negotiating MOQs and surcharges with vendors against customer forecasting
- Product Development, develop brand packaging with nominated supplier, working closely with marketing team and designers
- Quality control, resolve any quality issues by internal stakeholders and rectify within dedicated timelines. Arrange third party quality inspections of bulk production with nominated supplier and vendors. Coordinate third party CSR social audits of factories.
- Managing the data integrity, act as a gatekeeper for data integrity improving the visibility of this process for the wider team
- Sample ordering, of sales samples and marketing samples for campaign shoots.
What would make you successful:
- 3 + years’ experience within the manufacturing level of the apparel industry, from the development, buying or production categories
- Intermediates excel ability is imperative and experience working with Oracle NetSuite would be a bonus
- A proven history with working and negotiating with offshore production partners
- Knowledge of grading, pattern making, garment construction and engineering is desired
- An understanding of distribution, logistics, sales, and forecasting is advantageous
