Opportunities And Responsibilities

• Manage and execute highly complex material handling systems projects
• Understand the handling characteristics, constraints, and risks associated with various materials
• Define and demonstrate equipment, subsystem, and system performance criteria
• Knowledge of controls architectures and functionality of controls domains
• Coordinate with General Contractors, Construction Managers, and owners during project execution
• Identify and develop the necessary team skills for successful implementation
• Develop detailed project schedules using MS Project ePM
• Execute equipment, subsystem, and system commissioning and integration test plans
• Develop and execute acceptance test plans
• Procure third-party services through RFPs/RFQs and contract award process
• Manage change control processes and information exchange with stakeholders
• Coordinate activities with internal resources, subcontractors, and owner/general contractor resources
• Mitigate scope, schedule, and cost concerns both internally and with customers
• Coordinate on-site activities involving multiple subcontractors

Key Responsibilities

• Define workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships for project team
• Understand the impact of decisions on business operations
• Support development of departmental budgets and business plans
• Evaluate and recommend changes in methods or procedures
• Identify resource requirements and troubleshoot complex problems
• Support organizational structure and supervisory relationships for assigned function
• Take ownership for all project issues

Job Family Responsibilities

• Facilitate the execution of project/program solution plans
• Support project/program management role for projects
• Support execution of continuous improvement plans
• Maintain client relationships and sales opportunities

Knowledge And Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• PMP certification desired
• Broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for managed work group(s)
• Understanding of supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action
• Minimum 5 years of successful experience in a related field
