Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Work Location: GA, TX, MI, TX, AZ / Hybrid
Hours/Shifts/Days: M-F 9am 4 pm Core hours
May be required to work nights and weekends for deployments
Position Summary
As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for building and testing several greenfield applications both existing and from the ground up. As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be challenged and your quality engineering skill set with be strengthened by assessing functional, performance, integration, and accessibility testing. You will collaborate across different organizations and work with a highly cross-functional team.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Execute testing goals documented in comprehensive test plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality software applications.
- Collaborate with other Quality Assurance Engineers (on and offshore) to guarantee thorough end-to-end functionality testing.
- Conduct detailed testing of all aspects including Functional, SIT, database, API, and more.
- Responsible for all testing functionalities including but not limited to test script creation, case/script review, and execution.
- Work on projects of high complexity within one or more development environments and on multiple programs/systems as a test engineer.
- Analyze requirement documents to design comprehensive positive and negative test cases using various techniques.
- Work closely with the Development team to understand design documents and collaborate with Product Owners/BA to resolve any ambiguities.
- Deliver daily progress reports to all QA Leads and Managers
- Proactively identify and mitigate any project risks.
- Participate actively in Stand-Up calls.
- Engage with external teams such as PMO, Development, UAT, and Business Analysis.
Experience
Qualifications and Competencies Required
- 3 or more years of experience in Quality Assurance.
- Experience in analyzing and questioning requirements, writing (positive and negative) detailed test scripts/cases and bugs.
- Experience with tracking multiple test efforts simultaneously and being able to synthesize the results in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be self-sufficient and own project assignments from initial start to deployment.
- Ability to utilize excellent time management and organizational skills to meet reasonable project deadlines.
- Must be able to work on multiple projects in parallel.
- May be required to work occasionally over 40 hours per week.
Education
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant experience.
Qualifications Preferred:
- Auto Finance Industry experience preferred.
- Proficient in QA processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Test Rail, ALM).
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce, Postman, SQL, Genesys IVR, and MuleSoft is preferred.
- Familiar with Agile Scrum methodology.
- Competent in writing project reports, test plans, and detailed test cases
- Ability to track multiple test efforts simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in delivering quality process training and serving as an internal consultant.
- Strong self-management skills and a detail-oriented approach.
- Technical ability combined with outstanding customer service skills.
