Australia Awards South Asia & Mongolia
Australia Awards – South Asia & Mongolia (AASAM) is managed by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and is administered by Palladium. It is a multi-country program with service delivery offices in Colombo, Dhaka, Islamabad, Kathmandu, Malé, Thimphu and Ulaanbaatar. Leadership, coordination, and support are provided by a regional team mainly in Colombo, as well as in Palladium’s offices in Adelaide and Brisbane.Australia Awards are provided to build the skills and knowledge of individuals so that they can contribute to their country’s development, and to support the ongoing development of links between Australia and the countries to which it provides development assistance. The Australia Awards are an important part of the Australian Government’s focus on public and economic diplomacy, and provide long term Scholarships, Short Courses and other training opportunities.
AASAM is looking to recruit a Regional Alumni Coordinator to coordinate the Program’s regional alumni engagement activities.
The Regional Alumni Coordinator will be involved in coordinating the Regional Alumni Workshop, online training activities, and communities of practice. They will act as practice leader on alumni engagement, providing assistance to country teams as required.

Reporting Lines
The Regional Alumni Coordinator reports to the Deputy Team Leader.
They will work closely with the Country Program Managers, alumni engagement focal points, Regional Communications Coordinator, GEDSI Adviser, and other stakeholders including alumni and DFAT posts as required.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
The Regional Alumni Coordinator will be assigned a portfolio of alumni engagement responsibilities by the Deputy Team Leader, which may vary from time to time,

Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated high level project management skills; with experience in project/ program management on donor funded programs, and some exposure to international development organisations.Strong organisational skills, including well-developed ability to prioritise tasks, supported by demonstrated exprience in data management, responding to monitoring and evaluation reporting needs and a proven ability to manage events.
- Demonstrated skills in effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders, including with alumni, government agencies/ministries, civil society, and private sector organisations, and service providers.
- High level written and verbal English language skills, including proven experience in report wring for clients and key stakeholders.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to demonstrating integrity and professionalism.
Desirable Criteria
- Study experience with Australian institutions, particularly as an Australia Awards alumni.
- Demonstrated understanding of development issues in South Asia and Mongolia.
