SUMMARY

We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Sales Operations Specialist to streamline and optimize our sales activities.

This person will collaborate with the sales, marketing, and finance departments, ensuring that all sales and operational procedures are aligned with the company’s business goals. The primary goal of this role is to develop and oversee a smooth and effective sales process to provide growth opportunities for the company.

Your duties will include managing and improving our demand forecasting activities, along with coordinating the creation of PO’s with our co-manufacturers and suppliers, while collaborating with sales, operations, marketing, and finance teams, and ensuring effective inventory management. 

This role plays a critical role in supporting a company’s sales team by creating and managing internal sales tools and trackers , while providing analysis and recommendations for improvement.. This position requires a blend of technical and analytical skills to ensure the sales organization operates efficiently and effectively, leveraging data to make informed decisions.

Our ideal candidate has a solid background in sales or operations management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Develop and execute product demand forecasts, based on historical sales, market trends, and sales targets.

• Analyze and interpret key demand planning metrics, identifying risks and opportunities.

• Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner

• Manage inventory levels to meet customer service objectives and maintain cost efficiency.

• Present forecast updates and changes to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.

• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to ensure forecast accuracy and product availability.

• Analyze sales data to improve sales efficiency and effectiveness

• Coordinate with co-manufacturer(s) and suppliers for PO creation and forecasting

• Generate sales reports for sales and marketing teams and maintain record of sales trends and performance

• Coordinate, update and maintain pricing files 

• Developing and implementing sales processes for sales teams, specialists and other representatives

• Manage sales tracking tools and internal systems

• Creating and managing automation tools to increase sales process efficiency

• Implementing and manage CRM tools to maximize opportunities and customer relationships

• Collaborating with other departments and upper management to identify business goals

• Perform other related duties as assigned. 

 

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-secondary education in Business or related field, with major coursework in project management and/or operations management, preferred.

• At least 3 years of related experience required, consumer-packaged goods preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to exercise professional tact, courtesy, and ethics when dealing with vendors, coworkers, and customers.

• Excellent interpersonal and project management skills with ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate. 

• Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure.

• Proven time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience with ERP software, SAP preferred.

• Experience with Project Management software.

• This role is a hybrid job, with flexibility between remote and on-premise locations
