As Senior Salesforce Developer, you’ll play a product leadership role
We’re seeking a passionate Salesforce developer who thrives on continuous improvement. You’ll take ownership of our existing Salesforce architecture and codebase, which is the technological backbone of our company and crucial for future growth. Once familiar with our platform, you’ll lead it through phases of enhanced user experience, improved stability, the creation of new user tiers and enhanced user experiences, and the integration of SaaS and AI capabilities.
We’re looking for an excellent problem solver with a passion for Salesforce development who can take ownership of guiding our platform through its roadmap. This role has the potential for growth, with the possibility of managing your own team of developers in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement custom solutions on the Salesforce platform to meet business requirements and in line with current Salesforce best practice
- Develop and maintain complex Apex classes, triggers, and flows.
- Build, deploy, and maintain Lightning Web Components and Aura components for a seamless user experience
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems using APIs, web services, and other integration technologies.
- Migration to best practice technologies e.g. process builder to flows, aura to LWC
- Build custom user interfaces including lightning pages, leveraging the Salesforce Lightning Design System
- Assist with admin tasks and declarative configurations
- Collaborate on architecture and stack decision making and implementation
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Salesforce applications.
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
- Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new code or updates to existing applications and code
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce technologies and best practices.
Communication:
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Actively participate in team meetings, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions through video calls and slack.
- Communicate with technology support resources as required.
- Proactively seek feedback and provide constructive criticism.
- Communicate regularly with founder, sales and admin teams to ensure that workflow is on track and any problems are resolved efficiently with the best outcome.
- Ensure all deadlines are managed with care and resources are used appropriately to complete work on time, to the highest standard and on budget.
- Identify blockers and communicate potential solutions for consideration and discussion.
- Make prompt, confident decisions, and reallocate resources or work to meet expectations.
Agile Practice
- Adhere to Agile methodologies and participate in sprint planning, huddles and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with the team to estimate and priorities tasks.
- Deliver high-quality work within agreed-upon timelines.
- Continuously improve development processes and practices.
Requirements:
- Salesforce certifications Platform Developer I and II
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development, with a strong focus on Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud.
- Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript, Apex, HTML, CSS, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Aura components.
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce configuration, including custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, workflows, validation rules, process builder, flows, and the Salesforce Lightning Design System.
- Proven experience in integrating Salesforce with external systems, such as AWS, Xero, and other third-party applications.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security best practices, including data security, role-based access control, and field-level security.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with deployment strategies, including CI/CD pipelines and tools like Salesforce DX, and writing and maintaining test classes.
- Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST and SOAP).
Desirable
- Additional Salesforce Certifications, e.g. Sales Cloud Consultant
- Experience with Stripe and revenue operations including billing, invoicing, and subscription management.
- Experience with Slack integrations and development.
- Experience with Salesforce mobile development.
- Experience with AWS S3 storage, lambda services and integration with Salesforce
- Experience working with large data sets and bulkification
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
