For our Client, a provider of an innovative travel corporate card and expense management solution, we are looking for a Senior AWS Systems Engineer.

In this position, you’ll join a team dedicated to building the most reliable and scalable systems, ensuring the platform is always available for travelers at crucial times.

What You’ll Do

• Cooperate closely with a set of talented engineers, product managers, designers and data scientists to identify customer needs and build innovative solutions to address them
• Work across a vast array of systems and technologies, aiming to build an autonomous, monitored, fault-tolerant infrastructure that is optimized for both simplicity and uptime
• Collaborate with the backend and frontend engineering teams to ensure that product solutions are scalable, efficient and reliable
• Develop infrastructure to accommodate the extensive growth and partner with the team to ensure the utmost service quality
• Delve deeply into technical issues, offering swift resolution, comprehensive root cause analysis, clear communication and detailed post-incident reporting
• Guide engineers on the team, expanding your impact and elevating the skills of your colleagues

What You Have

• Over 3 years of hands-on coding experience
• In-depth expertise in managing large-scale systems in cloud environments, especially AWS
• Proficiency in setting up and maintaining applications like web servers, load balancers, relational databases, storage platforms and messaging systems
• Hands-on experience with container services, specifically Docker
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible and Terraform
• Proven ability to implement CI/CD processes seamlessly in an established engineering organization (using Jenkins)
• Demonstrated ability to introduce and innovate technology at a large scale
• Persistent curiosity and a relentless drive to unravel technical challenges
• Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical audiences

Nice to have

• Proficiency in advanced programming languages such as Python, Java and C++
• Deep expertise in Java backend development and optimization
• Familiarity with the Spring Framework
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a similar technical discipline
