Overview:
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in advancing our data science capabilities and influencing strategic decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions that improve our products and drive business growth.
Responsibility and Duties:
Data Analysis and Exploration:
Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business strategy.
Utilize statistical techniques and data visualization tools to communicate findings effectively.
Machine Learning Model Development:
Develop and implement advanced machine learning models for predictive analytics, recommendation systems, and other applications.
Evaluate and optimize model performance to ensure accuracy and scalability.
Data Preprocessing and Cleaning:
Clean, preprocess, and transform data as needed to ensure data quality and usability for analysis and modeling.
Feature Engineering:
Identify relevant features and variables for model training and feature selection.
Collaboration and Cross-functional Support:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and analysts, to integrate data-driven insights into product development and business strategies.
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members interested in pursuing a career in data science.
Data Governance and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices in data handling and storage.
Model Deployment and Monitoring:
Assist in deploying machine learning models into production and monitor their performance over time.
Experience / Skills:
A demonstrated track record of at least 5 years in data science and machine learning.
Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R.
Extensive expertise in machine learning algorithms and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
SQL expertise for data extraction and analysis.
Strong skills in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data cleaning.
Communication and collaboration skills.
The capacity to work independently and lead data science initiatives.
Proficiency in the English language for effective communication and documentation.
Good To Have:
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and deep learning.
Previous exposure to A/B testing and experimentation.
Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Tableau).
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Education:
Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
