Founded in 1961 to help the Department of Defenseresolve complex logistics management challenges, LMI continues to enablegrowth and transformation, enhance operational readiness and resiliency,and ensure mission success for federal civilian and defense agencies.LMI is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to be part of an agileteam that is designing and developing complex, enterprise level informationsystems that will shape the future Naval logistics.Responsibilities Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inceptionand design, deployment, operation, and refinement using an agilemethodology Support services before they go live through activities such as systemdesign consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacityplanning, and launch reviews Embrace the DevSecOps culture with a commitment to automate what canbe automated Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoringavailability, latency, and overall system health Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation; evolvesystems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity Practice sustainable incident response and actively participate inretrospectivesRequired Qualifications Minimum of a Secret clearance required; TS with the ability to obtainSCI access preferred Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technicalfield 7+ years’ experience as a DevSecOps Engineer Minimum of 5+ years of experience programming in at least one of thefollowing languages: C, C++, Java, Python, or Go. Ability to debug,optimize code, and automate routine tasks Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effectivecommunication skills and a sense of drive Understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems Demonstrated experience building continuous, automated build anddeploy pipelines Demonstrated experience in conditional procedure of build and deploypipeline based on security scans of source and artifact Capable of working with software development team and platforminfrastructure team to provide meaningful guidance to both for codedevelopment and deployment In-depth knowledge of version control of release artifacts tofacilitate upgrade rollout and rollback Strong understanding of containerization of web applications Understanding and familiarity with container orchestration enginessuch as K8s (EKS, AKS, GKE, Kops, OpenShift) Experience with GitLab and Atlassian CI/CD Experience with bash shell scriptingDesired Current TS/SCI preferred Agile, Lean, DevOps, Cloud, Security+ or other professionalcertification Familiarity with DoD IT standards and federal security standardsstrongly desired Hands-on experience using agile software development methodologies Strong communication skills and the ability to work well on across-functional agile team Experience working in a consultant/client environment Show more Show lessTagged as: remote, remote job, virtual, Virtual Job,virtual position, Work at Home, work from home
