Celero Commerce is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our IT team in Brentwood, Tennessee! The Senior DevOps Engineer of Celero Commerce is a critical contributor within the Technology team, responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the company’s infrastructure and automation solutions. This role leads the development and deployment of software systems, ensuring their reliability, scalability, security, and seamless integration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities:
- Lead collaboration with software developers, system operators, and IT staff to ensure successful design, deployment, security, and maintenance of robust infrastructure.
- Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to promptly identify and address security-related issues.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior DevOps team members, fostering growth and skill development.
- Lead the implementation of advanced CI/CD pipelines, tools, and scripts to automate the secure provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications across all system environments.
- Monitor system performance, proactively troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and optimal performance of systems.
- Oversee the management of cloud infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure, focusing on optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
- Implement and manage security tools and frameworks to monitor, detect, and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Lead implementation of security best practices across the entire infrastructure.
- Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments to identify and address risks in software and infrastructure.
- Automate security controls and compliance checks using scripting languages and configuration management tools.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, defining and leading implementation of incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Review code, architecture, and infrastructure designs to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Research and identify emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends in DevSecOps.
Experience & Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in DevSecOps, Cloud, Infrastructure, or related roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience designing and managing advanced CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and implementation.
- Expert proficiency in scripting languages, automating complex processes, and deploying automation tools.
- Expertise with containerization technologies.
- Expertise with configuration management tools, leveraging them to maintain consistent infrastructure states.
- In-depth knowledge of monitoring and logging tools for system performance analysis and troubleshooting.
- Hands on experience with application security, secure coding practices, and preventing common vulnerabilities.
- Expertise with security scanning, static and dynamic analysis, and vulnerability assessment tools.
- Expertise using tools to implement security controls in CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms and security practices for cloud environments.
- Strong commitment to security best practices, with hands-on experience implementing security controls.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, ability to diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues efficiently.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams.
